Preparing an Organisation for External Audits

COURSE OVERVIEW This course will take the participant through the process to ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) of an organisation functions correctly. It will also look at ways to improve any areas of weakness and make final preparations for the on-site Third Party Final Audit to ensure the organisation is ready for certification if required.

COURSE PREREQUISITIES: QMSLA1. For candidates wishing to apply for recognition of prior learning please read Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for what is required and how to apply.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY: e-Quip Learning Management Solutions operatining within the ACI Global Training "HUB" providing a Blend of On Line and Face to Face e-learning outcomes fully "Traceable" and "Validated" by smart card technology.

COURSE DESIRABLES: Broadband ADSL together with Skype or Windows Live Messenger is highly recommended. Skype Video, Skylook recording (MP3 technology) together with mobile 3G video phones are also recommended. This technology will be used to assist the tutor in observation and competency assessments which will include as a minimum the conducting of the initial onsite tour of facilities plus an opening and closing audit meeting.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD): Candidates will be required to commit to continuous professional development to ensure their Current Competency is maintained throughout the scope of their Registration with their nominated Personal Certification Provider. This service is included in the above Price.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES There are Nine Key Learning Objectives to be achieved in this Course followed by a Final Course Assessment Task covering everything that has been covered within the Course. This ensures all assessment Tasks have been completed and assessed by the assigned Tutor. The Final Assessment Task also ensures that the student has completed to the organisations satisfaction all necessary tasks required within the context of the Development and Implementation Project. Within each Key Learning Objective there are a number of Assessment Tasks to be completed by the student and then submitted for assessment by their assigned Tutor. Students prepare follow up actions from all previous audits or those of a known organisation as well as preparing and undertaking the Final Desk Top Audit and the Final Third Party (Certification) Audit.

Assessment Task 2.1 - Management Review and the role its plays within an organisation.

Key Learning Objective 3 - How to establish a plan for Continuous Improvement within an organisation.

Assessment Task 3.1 - Continuous Improvement Planning

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 4 - Staff Awareness Training - How to prepare the organisations employees for the Final Third Party (Certification) Audit.

Assessment Task 4.1 - How to prepare and Undertake Training to ensure all staff understand responsibilities relating to External or Third Party (Certification) Audits.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 5 - How to Plan and undertake a Desk Top Audit.

Assessment Task 5.1 - Plan and complete a full Desk Top Audit with the assistance of a Quality Management Representative for a designated Organisation.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 6 - How to Plan and conduct a External or third Party Audit to ensure what has been implemented (QMS) is effective and adding value to the organisation. This Audit will be used as a Skill Examination by your Tutor via Skype.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 7 - How to ensure all is correct by checking against relevant standards via a checklist

Assessment Task 7.1 - Complete end of course/module checklist

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 8 - To submit on line a Final Auditor Examination based on the answering of selected questions relating to all Key Assessment tasks undertaken and completed within this course plus the completion of the External or a Final Third Party Audit for an organisation.

Assessment Task 8.1 - Complete on line final auditor assessment task to determine your competence and ability to move through to the next course or module.

KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVE 9 - Undertake Pre Course examination for students wishing to complete their certificate in Auditor

Assessment Task 9.1 - To undertake on line 20 Questions relating to Background knowledge and undertake 4 industry specific Case studies.
